The state of Louisiana allows nurse aides from other states to obtain certification by reciprocity. The following documents and information are required by the Louisiana nurse aide registry: your full name, social security number and address, certification number in your current state, the name of your previous employer and the dates of employment and termination. Upon verification of the aide's certification, the Louisiana nurse aide registry will grant reciprocity to a qualified candidate.
