You may work as a nurse aide in Montana, without certification, for no longer than four months. During the four month period you need to complete a nursing assistant training program approved by the State Survey and Certification Agency, and pass the certification exam. While enrolled in a nurse aide course you are allowed to perform nursing tasks under the supervision of the program instructor.
