The following are mandatory continuing competence requirements for a licensed nurse aide: complete twelve (12) contact hours every year and work for a minimum of two-hundred hours, also known as as active in practice hours, every two years. Each contact hour represents sixty minutes of organized education. The continuing competency requirements apply to nursing assistants who wish to renew their New Hampshire license every two years.
