Nurse Aide Training Programs in Connecticut

This nurse aide course was created to help individuals in the Hartford area improve their lives and gain the technical and people skills needed to become certified nurse assistants. The Seabury Retirement Community is a not-for profit, retirement community which has been offering state-approved CNA classes to over two hundred and fifty students. There are approximately six to eight different nurse aide courses offered at this facility every year.
The total number of hours included in a CNA training class is one hundred (100), well beyond the minimum seventy-five (75) hours mandated by the state of Connecticut. CNA classes are no longer than two months and consist of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experiences conducted on-site at the Seabury Retirement Community facility. Each student is partnered with a staff member and is encouraged to participate in on-going lectures and other educational programs. Completing this free CNA course enables nurse aide trainees to sit for the national CNA examination and become certified nurse assistants in the state of Connecticut.
