I want to train to be a CNA. Are there many jobs available? Is it hard work?

According to the BLS, numerous job openings and excellent job opportunities are expected. Most jobs are in nursing and residential care facilities and in hospitals. A high school diploma is required for many jobs but specific qualifications vary by occupation, state laws, and work setting. This occupation is characterized by modest entry requirements, low pay, high physical and emotional demands, and limited advancement opportunities.

Also, regardless of the state where you plan to work, read the report linked below which summarizes findings of an investigation of the work experiences of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in New Hampshire. Most of the things covered in the report are still valid today even though it is was done in 2000.
