A nurse aide who wants to renew her certification in New Jersey must show that he or she worked as a nursing assistant, for pay, for at least seven hours in the previous certification period. The certification renewal must take place every twenty-four months. Renewal forms are sent to active nurse aides well before their status is due for renewal. There are several locations throughout the state where renewals are conducted. You must go to one of those designated centers in order to renew your license.
