Federal regulations require that you must have worked as a CNA for pay, a minimum of eight hours within the last 24 consecutive months under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. After initial certification, your name will remain on the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry for two years. At that time you will need to fill out a renewal form which will ask you to provide information and documentation that you have worked as a CNA, for pay, for a minimum of 8 hours within the past two years under the supervision of nurse. This is the requirement for renewal of your certification. You will need to go through this process every two years. For additional information please see this answer to a related question.
