My CNA certification expired a year ago. I still work in healthcare but not as a nurse aide.  Is it still possible to renew my Georgia certification? I would like to maintain an active status on the registry.

According to the Georgia CNA Registry rules and regulations, you are not eligible to renew your CNA certification. Recertification requirements state that you must show proof of work as a CNA, for pay and under the supervision of a nurse, for a minimum of eight hours during the two-year period in which your certification was active. If you want to regain your active status on the Georgia CNA Registry you must pass the nurse aide exam again.
