Those who want to become certified as nursing assistants in Florida need to pass a written and a performance exam. Reciprocity candidates who have been approved for certification do not need to take the exams. CNA test results are valid for a period of two years. If a candidate has passed only one part of the exam, he or she needs to pass the second part within twenty-four months.
