With a possession charge, can I obtain a job in a nursing home in Texas?

I got a misdemeanor charge for possession two years ago. When I applied for the job at a nursing home they said there will be a background check. I've looked for the background check requirements for this specific facility and can find nothing. I would like to know if I am hireable with this charge on my record.

I don't know if you meet or do not meet the hiring criteria of that facility but you can follow the links below to see a list of convictions barring employment in Texas nursing homes.

TEXAS HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
TITLE 4. HEALTH FACILITIES
SUBTITLE B. LICENSING OF HEALTH FACILITIES
CHAPTER 250. NURSE AIDE REGISTRY AND CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECKS OF EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR EMPLOYMENT IN CERTAIN FACILITIES SERVING THE ELDERLY, PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ...

If the Department of Public Safety reports that a person has a criminal conviction of any kind, the conviction shall be reviewed by the facility, the financial management services agency, or the individual employer to determine if the conviction may bar the person from employment in a facility or by the individual employer under Section 250.006 or if the conviction may be a contraindication to employment.
