Connecticut nursing assistants need to complete a state approved CNA training program and pass a competency evaluation. Some individuals who already have the necessary training may qualify to sit for the nurse aide exam. Those who wish to transfer to Connecticut and are found eligible to do so are exempt from both the training and the examination.
