Nurses and students enrolled in either a licensed practical nursing or a registered nursing program in Connecticut may be eligible to take the nurse aide certification exam. To qualify for the examination, the student nurse must show he or she completed a minimum of one hundred hours of theory and clinical instruction in a nursing course, within the last twenty-four months. A copy of the student's school transcript or a copy of the nursing license must be submitted when applying for the nurse aide exam.
