How long do you have to update your CNA certification after the expiration date?

I've had the information to update it but haven't had the time to do it since the expiration date.

This depends on your state registry and you should call them as soon as possible. For example, Mississippi certified nursing assistants must renew their status prior to the expiration date listed on their certificate card. There is no grace period towards renewals. There is no grace period for CNA renewals in Montana either as far as I know. Some CNAs on this site reported that in Georgia they were allowed to renew late by contacting the registry and explaining the situation.
