The state of New Hampshire has a mandatory licensing law that applies to nursing assistants. This means that you need to have a state license in order to work as a nurse aide. The license must be renewed every two years to maintain active status and work eligibility. Nursing assistants may renew their status online or by submitting a paper application to the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Even though license cards are no longer issued, a nurse aide can print a verification of her status at any time by using the on-line verification system provided by the Board of Nursing.
