I do not have my GED. Will I still be able to become a CNA? I am working on getting my GED though. Would me not having my GED affect it?

Not all training programs require students to have a GED or high school diploma prior to enrollment. You must call and ask the particular school or facility offering the nurse assistant training course if a GED is part of their admission requirements. In general, community colleges do require the GED, however, nursing homes and private schools have less stringent requirements and accept students who have completed a 10th grade education. You are not required to have it in order to be a CNA.
