According to the Arkansas Nurse Aide Registry, a new nursing assistant program graduate has twelve months to register and take the nurse aide competency exam. A copy of the program completion document is necessary in order to register for the exam. Each candidate has three attempts to pass the test. Individuals who do not take the test within one year of course completion or those who do not pass both parts of the examination must retrain and retest.
