A home health aide can challenge the nurse aide certification exam without having to complete further training. The individual must show proof of completing a home health training program. Once the person receives approval to test he or she must take the exam within one year and pass within three attempts. Personal care aides are not home health aides and do not qualify to sit for the nurse aide exam in Arkansas.
