I have researched your question and the answer would be no. A CNA's training does not cover sternal rubs and this would only fit into the RN's scope of practice. This response has been presented by the Office Support Specialist, who is a Wyoming State Board of Nursing office staff member. As an office staff member, the Office Support Specialist’s response is not binding on the Practice & Education Committee or the Wyoming State Board of Nursing. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact the Wyoming State Board of Nursing at (307) 777-7601.
