According to federal regulations, the Missouri Nurse Aide Registry is required to list negative findings against a certified nursing assistant. Negative findings include: abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of a client's property. A certified nurse aide employed in a Missouri certified facility and found guilty of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of property, receives a federal indicator on the Missouri State Registry. Certified long-term care facilities as well as long-term care units of a hospital can not employ a person whose name appears on the registry with a federal indicator.
