There are many lists of daily tasks for CNAs so I won't go into that but as a nursing aide you might have to help other medical staff set up equipment, store and move supplies, and assist with some procedures. If you are employed in a nursing care facility you are often the principal caregiver and have more contact with residents than do other members of the staff so you have to observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nursing or medical staff.

I think empathy, compassion, and caring are necessary qualities for a good CNA. Good health and being able to effectively communicate with other members of the healthcare team are also very important in my opinion. Read about the work experiences of CNAs in this report.
