I was a CNA for 14 years. I was certified in Montana and Oregon. I let my license expire. I am now in Idaho. Do I need to retake the entire course in order to become recertified?

You qualify to take the CNA exam and obtain certification without having to retrain based on your lapsed CNA certification in another state. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare must be able to verify your lapsed status on another state's registry in order to allow you to challenge the CNA exam. You can contact the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry at 800-748-2480 or (208) 334-6620.
