A reciprocity applicant must mail all the required forms and copies of documents to the Delaware Division of Long Term Care Residents Protection. If the application is complete and all the necessary documents are received, the Division reviews your application and decides if you are eligible for certification by reciprocity. It usually takes at least thirty days to process this type of application. Candidates who are approved will receive a Delaware nurse aide certificate. Keep in mind that an applicant for reciprocity cannot be employed as a CNA until the Division approves that person's application.
