A nursing assistant trained in another country and looking to work as a CNA in the United States, most likely has to complete a CNA training program and competency testing in the (U.S.A.) state of their choice in order to become certified. Contact the nurse aide registry for the state you are interested in, and ask them about your options regarding CNA certification, eligibility, and training. You can find contact information for all state registries here.
